Full Description

Why spend two days at LEGOLAND Billund

LEGOLAND Billund opened in 1968 beside the factory where the LEGO brick was born, and it remains the original and best-loved park of its kind. Over the decades it has grown into 12 themed worlds with dozens of rides, shows and play areas, and on a busy summer day it is hard to see everything between opening time and the moment the rides close. Families with children of different ages often find that one day is simply not enough.

A 2-day ticket for LEGOLAND Billund solves that. You can split the park in half, tackle the big rides on the first morning and save the water rides for the warmest afternoon, or come back on a quieter weekday after a busy weekend. The two visits do not need to be consecutive, as long as both fall within six days, which makes it easy to fit a rest day or other sights in between.

Day one: Miniland, Knights' Kingdom and the big rides

Start where the park itself began: Miniland, where harbours, Scandinavian towns, airports and famous landmarks are rebuilt in miniature from millions of bricks, with boats, trains and cars moving through the scenes. Go early, when the paths are quiet and the light is good for photos, and give it at least an hour; many visitors come back on the second day to spot details they missed.

Then head for the thrills. The Minifigure Speedway, new in 2026 and Denmark's first duelling roller coaster, races two trains side by side, forwards and in reverse. In Knights' Kingdom the Dragon roller coaster swoops through a castle, while in Legoredo Town you can pan for gold, paddle a canoe or ride the Flying Eagle, and Adventure Land adds jungle beasts and ancient mummies for brave explorers.

Day two: Pirate Land, Polar Land and the Imagination Zone

Keep the second day for water and play. In Pirate Land you can put on swimwear for the splash rides and water games, or stay dry by climbing the lighthouse. Polar Land offers the 5-metre free fall of the Polar X-plorer and the Ice Pilots School, where children programme their own ride on a robot arm before taking a seat. Height, build and age limits apply on some rides, so check them before queuing.

For calmer hours, the Imagination Zone brings together live sharks and moray eels, a musical water fountain and a 4D cinema, and on Brick Street the whole family can sit down and build together. DUPLO Land is a safe play paradise for toddlers, and the baby care centre provides nappies, changing tables, a microwave and a feeding lounge, which makes a second day comfortable even with very young children.

Billund beyond the park: a family short break

A two-day ticket turns LEGOLAND into the heart of a short family break in Jutland. In the centre of Billund, LEGO House is a striking building that looks like a stack of giant bricks, with interactive play zones and roof terraces open to the public; Lalandia, a large indoor water park, lies right next to LEGOLAND; and Givskud Zoo, with lions and a drive-through safari area, is about half an hour away by car. These attractions need their own tickets.

How to get to LEGOLAND Billund: the park is about five minutes from Billund Airport, buses run from the railway station at Vejle, and the drive from Copenhagen takes a little under three hours. The best time to visit LEGOLAND Billund is from late spring to early autumn on weekdays; the park follows a seasonal calendar from late March to the end of October plus selected holidays, and in October it is dressed up for Halloween.
