The order of the days follows the light and the energy of a short trip: water on the first evening, the city on the full day, the countryside on the last morning when bags are packed and the airport is on the way.

Day One: Arrival and the Canals After Dark

A driver meets you at Schiphol with a name board and takes you to the hotel, a short ride from the airport by the motorway or the train line. After check-in and a rest, the evening belongs to the canal ring: a cruise after sunset through the lit bridges and the tall houses glowing from inside, with a drink on board. It is the softest possible start, no walking and no decisions, and children fall asleep in the car back to the hotel.

Day Two: The City by Bus, Boat and Roof

The hop-on hop-off pass is the tool for the full day: a bus loop past the museum quarter, the Jordaan, Dam Square and the harbour, and a boat loop on the canals, both with commentary, so you step off wherever the family wants and step back on when feet are tired. Late in the afternoon the free ferry crosses to Noord and the A'DAM Lookout lifts you above the city for sunset; the brave try the swing over the edge. Dinner is back on the city side.

Day Three: Windmills Before the Flight

Amsterdam has a large Muslim community and halal restaurants are easy to find, particularly in the centre and the Pijp district; the plan lists several near the hotel. Prayer can be arranged around the day's timing because the transfers and the countryside morning are private, and the city day is at your own pace by design. Who It Suits and Who Should Extend

Couples, families with children of any age, and parents travelling with grown children all use this programme.
