The road to Pamukkale: rest stop, onyx showroom and lunch

Bring swimwear under your clothes. The best time to visit Pamukkale terraces is morning or late afternoon, when the light is softer and the stone is cooler.

Karahayit red springs on some departures

On some departures the coach continues to Karahayit, a village near Pamukkale known for its red mineral springs. Iron-rich water gives the stone and pools a deep red and orange colour, in sharp contrast to the white of the terraces. It is a short, lesser-known stop that adds variety to the day.
