Full Description

Blueline Park and the Sky Capsule in Haeundae

Blueline Park runs along a former railway line on the Haeundae shore between Mipo and Cheongsapo. Today it offers two ways to enjoy the coastline: the Sky Capsule, small glass cabins that glide slowly along an elevated track above the sea, and the Beach Train, a small coastal train. The capsules have become one of the most photographed attractions in Busan, and tickets often sell out well in advance.

On the versions marked as including the capsule, we include a Sky Capsule ticket. Each cabin seats up to four people and can be shared with other guests. Travellers often search for how to book Sky Capsule Busan tickets or the best time to ride the Sky Capsule; an early-morning slot avoids the biggest queues. On the no-capsule versions you still walk the park and see the capsules pass.

Cheongsapo fishing village and the Daritdol lookout

Cheongsapo is a small fishing harbour at the far end of Haeundae's coast. A red-and-white lighthouse stands on a rock at the harbour mouth, and the Daritdol lookout, a glass-floored platform, gives views straight down to the waves. Boats bob in the port and small restaurants line the quay.

The stop gives you about an hour by the water, enough for a walk, photos and a lunch break at your own expense. Visitors interested in Cheongsapo Daritdol Observatory opening hours should know that it is best visited in daylight, and the tour timing is built around that. The village fits neatly between the capsule ride and the drive south.

Oryukdo Skywalk on the Busan coast

The Oryukdo Skywalk is a horseshoe-shaped platform built on a cliff in Nam district, with a glass floor about 35 metres above the sea. From it you face the Oryukdo islets, a small rocky group that changes appearance with the light and is a well-known symbol of Busan's port entrance.

Looking straight down through the glass on the sea can feel dramatic, though the platform is firmly built and popular with families. Travellers asking whether Oryukdo Skywalk is worth visiting will find it one of the quickest ways to enjoy a big sea view, and the entry is included on our route. Please follow the platform's rules for visitors, which may ask for shoe covers on the glass.

Huinnyeoul Culture Village on Yeongdo's cliffs

Huinnyeoul Culture Village stands on a coastal cliff on Yeongdo island and is often called Busan's Santorini because of its white and blue buildings, narrow lanes, murals and sea views. Its name refers to white waves breaking on the rocks below. The area is known as a filming location for Korean films and dramas.

It is a quiet contrast to the crowds in Gamcheon and suits slow walking and photography. Travellers searching for the best time to visit Huinnyeoul Culture Village usually choose clear mornings for the sea colours. Your guide leads the way along the paths and lets you explore at your own speed.

Gamcheon Culture Village, the Machu Picchu of Busan

The day ends at Gamcheon Culture Village, a maze of stairways and alleys covered with terraced houses in blues, pinks and yellows. It began as a hillside settlement for people who arrived during the Korean War, and public art projects later turned it into a cultural district with murals, workshops and small galleries.

The famous statue of a small boy and a fox looks over the rooftops from a viewpoint, and the guide explains its story. Many ask how to get to Gamcheon Culture Village from Busan Station, and by tour the route is arranged for you. Expect stairs and slopes, so bring comfortable shoes and water.
