Alanya

Alanya is a resort town on Turkey's Mediterranean coast, its hilltop castle and red tower overlooking a peninsula that separates two long beaches. Families based in Alanya are close enough to Antalya for a city day out, and further inland the Taurus Mountains open onto canyons, caves and waterfalls that make a change from the beach.
