Full Description
The ATV trails near Ubud
Ubud sits in the green heart of Bali, surrounded by river gorges, palm groves and villages where farming still shapes daily life. The quad bike trails used on this Ubud ATV tour run through this landscape: narrow jungle tracks, muddy dips, shallow puddles, bamboo stands and paths beside rice fields. The ride lasts about one to 1.5 hours, with stops so the group can regroup and take photos.
Before you start, the guides fit your safety gear and run a practice loop, so complete beginners can ride with confidence; teens and adults who prefer not to drive can share a tandem quad. Expect to get very muddy, which is half the fun. Showers and fresh towels are ready at the base afterwards, followed by lunch of fried rice or fried noodles with water, coffee or tea before you move on.
Zipline over the Tegallalang rice terraces
The Tegallalang rice terraces, north of Ubud, are one of the most photographed landscapes in Bali: steep green steps cut into a valley and watered by subak, the traditional Balinese irrigation system shared between farmers for more than a thousand years. Several parks along the valley now offer swings, platforms and ziplines that let you see the terraces from above.
On this tour you ride a zipline across the valley, clipped into a full harness under the supervision of trained staff. The view of the curved paddies, palm trees and jungle below is the moment most riders remember. If you are asking whether a Tegallalang zipline is worth it, the answer is yes for anyone comfortable with heights. It is not suitable for people afraid of heights.
The jungle infinity pool
The last part of the day is slower. The park's infinity pool sits on the edge of the valley, so the water seems to pour straight into the rice terraces below. Sun loungers, thatched gazebos and the sound of the jungle make it a good place to rest after the ride and the zipline, and many visitors stay for an hour or more.
Pool access is included in the full options and is for adults 18 and over only. Children who join the tandem option take part in the ATV ride and lunch but not the zipline or pool. Bring swimwear and a change of clothes, and keep a small amount of cash for snacks at the park. The calm here is the perfect contrast to the muddy morning.
Ubud and the Tegallalang area
Ubud is Bali's cultural centre, known for its royal palace, art markets, dance performances and the forested gorges of the Ayung and Wos rivers. Tegallalang, a short drive north, is a village of woodcarvers and rice farmers whose main road is lined with craft shops. Together they make the best base for outdoor adventures in Bali.
Because this tour includes hotel transfer from the Ubud and South Bali areas, you do not need to arrange anything else: our driver takes you to the ATV base, on to the rice-terrace park and back again. Pickup is between 07:00 and 09:00, and the full day lasts about seven hours. Options without transfer and without the zipline are also available if you only want the quad bike ride.

Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers to what travellers ask us most, before they book.
Is this a shared or a private experience?
It is a guided activity: you ride with an ATV guide and other riders on the trails, while the hotel transfer is in a car for your party only, with up to five guests per vehicle.
How long does it take?
The full day with zipline and pool takes about seven hours including transfers. The quad-only options last about 1.5 hours at the base.
Is hotel pickup included?
Yes, in the default option and the tandem full-day option. The quad-only options meet at the ATV base.
What is included?
Return hotel transfer, a 1–1.5-hour ATV ride, all safety gear, the rice-terrace park entry and zipline ticket, jungle pool access, lunch, water, coffee or tea, showers, towels and insurance.
Is the price per person or per group?
Prices are per person, and on tandem options each of the two riders books a place. The booking panel on this page shows the current price of each option.
Do I need ATV experience?
No. The guides give a full briefing and a practice loop, and the trails suit beginners as well as experienced riders.
What is the difference between solo and tandem?
Solo means one person drives one quad bike. Tandem means two people share one quad bike, one driving and one riding behind, which is how children join.
Is it suitable for children or people with reduced mobility?
Children aged 3 to 12 can ride as passengers on a tandem quad and join lunch, but not the zipline or pool. The activity is not suitable for wheelchair users, pregnant women or people with back or heart conditions.
What should I bring?
Comfortable clothes and shoes, a change of clothes, swimwear, a waterproof camera or bag, and some cash.
What is the best time of year for quad biking in Ubud?
The trails are open all year. In the wet season from about November to March they are muddier and more fun for many riders, while the dry season gives clearer views from the zipline.
What happens in bad weather?
The ATV ride runs in rain, which makes the trails even muddier. The zipline may pause briefly during heavy rain or storms for safety.
How do I book and confirm?
Choose your date, option and pickup time in the booking panel. Our team confirms your booking on WhatsApp within minutes.
