Full Description
Gold Souk and Spice Souk in Deira
Old Dubai begins in Deira, where the covered lanes of the Gold Souk glow with bracelets, necklaces and wedding sets displayed window after window. Gold is sold by weight at the day's rate, and the craftsmanship charge is where friendly bargaining happens, so your guide shares how locals shop here. A few steps away, the Spice Souk fills the air with saffron, cardamom, dried black limes, frankincense and rose petals piled in open sacks.
This is the part of a Dubai city tour that most visitors remember for its scents and colours. You have time to walk both souks with your guide, taste the atmosphere of the oldest trading quarter and buy a few souvenirs. Go easy on the bargaining in the morning heat and keep small notes handy for spices.
Dubai Creek and Al Seef
Dubai Creek is the natural saltwater inlet that made the city: pearling boats and traders anchored here long before the first tower rose. Wooden dhows still load cargo along the Deira wharves, and abras, the small water taxis, cross between the two banks just as they have for generations. Your guide stops at the creekside so you can watch the traffic and understand how the port shaped Dubai.
On the Bur Dubai bank, Al Seef stretches along the water with wind-tower buildings, coral-stone walls and shaded lanes that recreate the look of the old town, mixed with cafes and small shops. It is a relaxed stop for photos and a short walk, especially pleasant in the softer light of the late afternoon.
Jumeirah Mosque and Burj Al Arab
Heading south to Jumeirah, the tour stops for photographs at Jumeirah Mosque, a white stone mosque completed in 1979 in the medieval Fatimid style, with twin minarets and an elegant central dome. It is one of the most photographed mosques in Dubai and a beautiful example of traditional Islamic architecture set among palm trees. Nearby, Jumeirah Beach shows the soft white sand that lines the city's coast.
Next comes Burj Al Arab, the sail-shaped tower standing on its own artificial island just offshore. Opened in 1999 and 321 metres high, it became the symbol of modern Dubai. Your photo stop is from the public beach area, which gives the classic full view of the tower against the sea.
Palm Jumeirah and Dubai Marina
Palm Jumeirah is the palm-shaped island reclaimed from the sea in the early 2000s, with a trunk, curving fronds lined with villas, and a crescent breakwater that shelters it. The scenic drive takes you along the trunk and through the tunnel beneath the water to the crescent, where the famous arched resort sits at the tip. It is the best way to understand the scale of the project without a boat or helicopter.
Back on the mainland, the tour passes through Dubai Marina, a man-made canal district framed by some of the tallest residential towers in the world. The glass skyline, yachts in the water and the waterfront walk show the newest side of the city, a sharp contrast with the souks you saw a few hours earlier.
Burj Khalifa, Downtown Dubai and the Dubai Frame
The tour ends in Downtown Dubai at the foot of Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world at 828 metres, opened in 2010. You have time for photos and a short walk around the lake and the large mall beside the tower. Tickets to the observation decks are not included, but you can book them separately and go up after the tour.
On the way, the guide also points out the Dubai Frame in Zabeel Park: a 150-metre golden picture frame with a glass bridge on top, built to frame old Dubai on one side and the new skyline on the other. Zabeel Palace, an official palace of the Ruler, can be seen from outside when time allows.

Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers to what travellers ask us most, before they book.
Is this a shared or a private experience?
It is a guided city tour by luxury car booked per person, not a large coach tour. When you book, our team confirms on WhatsApp who will travel in your car.
How long does the Dubai city tour take?
About 5 hours from pickup to drop-off, depending on traffic and the start time you choose.
Is hotel pickup included?
Yes. Pickup and drop-off at your hotel or accommodation in Dubai are included.
What is included?
The luxury car with driver, a professional English-speaking guide, the walks through the Spice Souk and Gold Souk, the stops at Dubai Creek and Al Seef, and photo stops at the Dubai Frame, Jumeirah Mosque, Burj Al Arab and Burj Khalifa, plus the drive on Palm Jumeirah.
Is the price per person or per group?
The tour is priced per person, with a child rate for ages 4 to 12. The booking panel on this page shows the current price.
Do we go inside Burj Khalifa or the Dubai Frame?
No, these are photo stops. Entry tickets are not included, but you can book them separately and visit before or after the tour.
Is it suitable for children and people with reduced mobility?
Children are welcome. Most of the tour is by car with short walks; the souks have uneven lanes and can be crowded, so let us know about any mobility needs when booking.
What should I wear for the Jumeirah Mosque stop?
The mosque is a photo stop from outside, but modest clothing that covers shoulders and knees is respectful and also comfortable for the souks.
What is the best time of day for this tour?
Morning starts are cooler and the souks are calmer; afternoon starts give softer light for photos of Burj Al Arab and the skyline. From May to September choose an early start.
Can I shop in the Gold Souk during the tour?
Yes, there is time to browse and buy. Gold is priced by weight at the daily rate, and the workmanship charge can usually be negotiated.
How do I book and confirm?
