Full Description

Dubai Harbour and the start of your yacht charter

Your private yacht charter starts at Dubai Harbour, the modern marina built between the Dubai Marina towers and Palm Jumeirah. Taxi drivers sometimes head to Dubai Marina by mistake, so ask specifically for Dubai Harbour and the Dock Master 1 gate. Our staff meet you there and walk with you two to three minutes to the dock, where the captain checks the lead guest's ID and welcomes everyone on board.

The 50-foot yacht has a shaded aft deck, an open sundeck and an indoor lounge, with enough space for up to 12 guests to move around comfortably. Before leaving, the crew talks you through the route options, so you can decide together whether to focus on the Palm, Burj Al Arab or a slow cruise along the Marina.

Palm Jumeirah and the arched resort

The three-hour route circles Palm Jumeirah, the palm-shaped island built from sand pumped from the seabed and protected by an 11-kilometre crescent breakwater. From the sea you see the shape that is invisible from the road: the fronds lined with beachfront villas, the trunk with its towers, and the open water beyond the crescent.

At the tip of the crescent stands the arched resort, two pink-toned towers joined by a giant arch, one of the best-known buildings in the city. The crew slows down for photos, and on calm days the sheltered water inside the crescent is where the captain often looks for a quiet place to stop. Swimming is possible only when the captain confirms it is permitted on the day, and never from one hour before sunset.

Burj Al Arab and the Umm Suqeim coast

Leaving the Palm, the yacht follows the coast south towards Umm Suqeim, a long stretch of public beaches and low villas that gives one of the best views of Burj Al Arab. The 321-metre sail-shaped tower stands on its own island and is especially striking from the water, where you see its full height with nothing in front of it.

This is the favourite photo moment of most charters, so the crew helps you with group pictures on the bow. Note that the two-hour charter usually includes either Burj Al Arab or the Palm, while the three and four-hour charters cover both. The captain always chooses the safest route according to wind and sea conditions.

JBR beach, Bluewaters Island and the Dubai Marina canal

On the way back the yacht passes Jumeirah Beach Residence, known as JBR, where a long strip of sand and a busy promenade lie at the foot of dozens of residential towers. Across the channel, Bluewaters Island is crowned by a giant observation wheel about 250 metres high, which lights up in changing colours after dark.

The one-hour trip focuses on this area and the Dubai Marina canal, a man-made waterway lined with glass skyscrapers and yachts. It is a short, easy outing for those with little time, while the longer charters end here after visiting the Palm and Burj Al Arab, often just as the towers begin to glow.

BBQ, birthdays and family time on board

A yacht charter in Dubai is a popular way to celebrate, and this boat is set up for it. A grill is available on board for food you bring, with a crew service fee, and disposable plates and cutlery are provided. The BBQ option includes a barbecue for four guests freshly grilled by the crew, and more portions for up to 12 guests can be added when booking.

The sunset birthday trip adds decoration, a cake with your own message and a BBQ for four people, timed for the golden light of late afternoon. Families appreciate the swimming aids and life jackets in all sizes; children under 12 must wear a life jacket at all times on deck.
