Las Americas International Airport (SDQ) is the capital's main airport, about 25 km east of the Zona Colonial and 10 km from Boca Chica, and about 190 km, two and a half hours by road, from Punta Cana.
La Romana International Airport (LRM) is beside the Casa de Campo resort, about 8 km from La Romana and about 25 km from Bayahibe, the port for Saona and Catalina Island.
There is no train, and the public buses do not go to the resort gates, so most guests use a pre-booked transfer or an airport taxi; shared shuttles make many hotel stops and take longer, while a private car goes straight to your resort, which is worth it after a long flight and for late arrivals.
