Full Description
The indoor shooting complex in the New Town
Your experience takes place at a modern indoor shooting complex at Lublaňská 23 in the New Town (Nové Město), Prague 2. The range is purpose-built for visitors, with individual shooting lanes in a controlled indoor setting, so you can concentrate fully on your aim and your instructor's guidance whatever the weather is doing outside.
On arrival you register at reception and pass through the express security check, which keeps the waiting time short. If you are searching for a shooting range in Prague for tourists, this location is ideal: it is right in the city centre, a short walk from the I. P. Pavlova metro station, so you can fit the session around your other sightseeing without a long transfer.
Safety briefing and your instructor
Before you touch a firearm, your English-speaking instructor gives a clear safety briefing and shows you how to stand, hold, aim and handle each weapon. No previous experience is needed, and the instructor stays with you on the line during the entire session, loading the guns, correcting your grip and stance and making sure every rule is followed.
This careful, step-by-step approach is why first-timers feel confident quickly, while experienced shooters get useful tips on accuracy and recoil control. Between the rounds there is a short break with soft drinks and a look at your targets, so you can compare scores with your friends and see how much you improve from the first shot to the last.
The 10 Guns Package line-up
The default package is the most complete on offer. You fire an AK-47 and an AR-15 assault rifle, a 9 mm pistol and the Czech-made CZ 75 pistol, a Magnum revolver, the Scorpion and UZI submachine guns, a shotgun, a classic lever-action rifle and a gun of your choice from the range's selection. Each weapon comes with a set number of shots, most of them ten.
Trying such a wide variety of firearms side by side lets you feel the difference in weight, recoil and handling between pistols, rifles and submachine guns. For a shorter experience, the smaller packages on this page include 3, 4, 5 or 7 guns, and extra ammunition beyond your package is not included in the ticket.
Around I. P. Pavlova and Vinohrady
The range sits on the border between the New Town and Vinohrady, one of Prague's most attractive residential districts, full of grand 19th-century apartment houses, leafy squares and cafés. A few minutes away is Náměstí Míru with the neo-Gothic Church of St Ludmila, and the top of Wenceslas Square and the National Museum are about ten minutes on foot.
How to get to the shooting range in Prague: take metro line C to I. P. Pavlova, or one of the many trams that stop there, and walk a couple of minutes to Lublaňská Street. An afternoon session at 14:00 or 16:00 fits neatly after a morning at Prague Castle or in the Old Town.
