Palermo Airport (PMO) is at Punta Raisi on the coast about 35 km west of central Palermo and about 75 km east of Trapani, around 1 hour by the A29 motorway.
Catania Airport (CTA) is about 5 km south of central Catania and is the main gateway to eastern Sicily: Taormina is about 65 km (around 50 minutes), Ortigia in Syracuse about 60 km (around 50 minutes) and Milazzo about 140 km (around 1 hour 45 minutes) by motorway.
Agrigento Railway Station is in the city centre at the foot of the old town, with trains from Palermo in about 2 hours; the Valley of the Temples is about 4 km away, around 10 minutes by car.
