Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) is about 50 km north-west of central Milan and about 55 km south of Stresa, around 50 minutes by car on the A26 motorway; Baveno is about 60 km and Verbania about 70 km away.
Milan Linate (LIN) is the city airport, only about 8 km east of the Duomo and 20-30 minutes from the centre, with a single compact terminal.
Milan Bergamo (Orio al Serio, BGY) is about 50 km north-east of Milan - an hour by road - and the nearest of the three Milan airports to Lake Garda, Verona and the Bergamo old town.
