Malindi Airport (MYD) is about 3 km south-west of Malindi town, 10 minutes by car, and about 25 km north of Watamu, 30 to 40 minutes on the coast road past the Gede junction, with scheduled flights from Nairobi; Mombasa is about 120 km and 2 hours 30 minutes south.
Moi International Airport (MBA) is at Port Reitz on the mainland about 12 km west of Mombasa Island, 30 to 50 minutes by car over the Makupa Causeway, about 6 km from the Madaraka Express terminus at Miritini; Nyali is about 15 km, Bamburi and Shanzu about 25 km, Diani about 1 hour 30 minutes by the Dongo Kundu bypass and Watamu about 110 km and 2 hours 30 minutes up the coast road.
