Full Description

The parasailing flight over the Red Sea

A parasailing flight is a smooth, quiet and surprisingly relaxing way to see the Red Sea from above. You are fitted into a harness and towed behind a boat while a large canopy lifts you high over the water. At Sharm El Sheikh the flight lasts around eight to ten minutes, which is longer than many parasailing rides, so you have time to look around instead of just holding on.

Sharm El Sheikh parasailing is popular because the water is clear and the coastline is dramatic, with desert mountains meeting the sea and the reef lines visible as darker bands in the blue. No experience is needed, and the crew handle the launch and the landing. Bring a camera strap or waterproof case if you want to take pictures in the air.

Views of the Sharm El Sheikh coast and Sinai mountains

From the air you see the resort coastline, the reef edges and the rocky Sinai mountains rising behind the shore. The colours change with the light: pale turquoise over sand, deep blue over drop-offs and warm brown and pink on the mountains in the late afternoon.

The best time for parasailing in Sharm El Sheikh is usually morning or late afternoon, when the wind is steadier and the light is softer. Winds can be strong at midday, and flights depend on weather and sea conditions, so the crew will guide you on timing. Single flights let you arrive at any time within the opening hours, which makes planning easy.

VIP beach access and the boat trip

Each option includes VIP beach access, so you can use the beach area before or after you fly, rather than simply arriving, flying and leaving. The boat takes you out with a group of other parasailers, and you wait your turn while watching the others go up, which is part of the fun.

How to get to the parasailing point depends on where you are staying, since no hotel transfer is included. Give us your hotel name and we will confirm the meeting point, or arrange a taxi. Food and drinks are not included, so bring water and some cash if you want refreshments on the beach.

Solo, double, triple and private boat options

The first option is a solo flight, suitable for one adult who wants the most freedom in the air. The double flight takes two people together, which is popular with couples and friends, and the triple flight is usually chosen by two children and one adult. Weight limits apply to each flight, with a total of about 150 kg per canopy.

For groups, the private boat option runs for about an hour and a half. It includes six tandem flights, which gives twelve people a turn, a thirty-minute cruise on the Red Sea after all the flights, and VIP beach access until sunset. Ask us if you are unsure which option suits your group.
