Zanzibar Airport, Abeid Amani Karume International (ZNZ), is on the west coast of Unguja island about 7 km south of Stone Town, 15 to 20 minutes by car; Nungwi and Kendwa at the northern tip are about 60 km and 1 hour 15 minutes, Kiwengwa and Matemwe on the north-east coast about 45 to 55 km, and Paje, Jambiani and Michamvi on the south-east coast about 50 to 60 km, roughly 1 hour to 1 hour 20 minutes.
