Full Description

The Tree Bridge zipline course in the Koh Samui jungle

The zipline tour in Koh Samui runs through a strip of tropical forest inland from the coast. After a short safety orientation and fitting of the harness and helmet, your guides lead you from platform to platform along eight cables. The cables total roughly 1,200 metres, so each slide gives you a different angle over the treetops, and the platforms are linked by sky bridges and one abseil drop.

The activity itself lasts about two hours, and with transfers the whole outing is close to four hours. Guides clip and unclip you at every stage and call out the braking position, which makes this zipline adventure in Koh Samui a good first zipline for confident beginners. Sports shoes are required, and sandals are not allowed.

Tan Rua Waterfall and the rainforest canopy

The course is named after the jungle setting around Tan Rua waterfall, which stays half hidden behind trees and rock faces. You catch glimpses of it while gliding, and the best time to visit Tan Rua waterfall for a fuller flow is usually after rain, in the wetter months late in the year. In the drier months the forest is brighter and the ride is more comfortable.

Is the Koh Samui zipline worth it? If you want a change from beaches and temples, yes: this is one of the few places on the island where you travel through the actual canopy rather than looking at it from the road. Keep your camera secured, as your hands stay on the line.

Tree Bridge Cafe, a treetop rest stop

After the last cable you cross a suspension bridge to the Tree Bridge Cafe, which sits about 20 metres above the ground in a tree and looks out over the forest and towards the sea. One drink at the cafe is included, and you can order extra food and drinks separately. The cafe is a rest stop after the activity, so the time you spend there depends on the group and the transfer schedule.

If you want to stay longer, you may do so after the scheduled return transfer, but you then need to arrange your own transport back to your hotel. Coffee and snacks taste better after the adrenaline, and it is the best spot for photos of the treetops.

Hotel pickup and how to get to the zipline park

Many visitors ask how to get to the Tree Bridge Zipline in Koh Samui, because the park is inland on winding roads. With this option we take care of it: a return transfer from hotels in Maenam, Bophut, Chaweng and Choeng Mon is included. Guests staying in Lamai, Maret, Taling Ngam and other areas can still join, but the return transfer from those areas carries an extra fee paid separately.

Pickup times depend on the start time you pick in the booking panel, so please check the available departures for your date. Bring your passport or an ID copy, which the park may ask to see.
