Full Description
Andamanda Water Park in Kathu, Phuket
Andamanda is a large water park in the Kathu area, about a short drive from Patong. It is the biggest water park on the island and offers a full day of activities for all ages, from gentle water play for small children to fast slides that test the nerves of teenagers and adults. The Andamanda Phuket ticket gives you day access to everything in the park, subject to the height and weight rules of each slide.
The park is open every day from 10:00 to 19:00, which gives you time for a slow morning, lunch and an afternoon of slides. Arriving at opening time helps you enjoy the most popular attractions before the queues grow.
Slides, Themed Zones and the Wave Pool
Andamanda has 29 slides across five themed zones, including 12 extreme slides for thrill-seekers. The artificial wave pool can generate waves up to three metres tall, which is a big draw for those who want a taste of surfing, and there are three relaxation zones where you can float and unwind between rides.
Each slide and ride has its own weight and height requirements, so check the information at the entrance before you queue. Younger children have their own water play areas; ask the staff about safety equipment if you need it. Bring swimwear and follow the lifeguards' instructions at all times.
The Floating Village and Practical Facilities
The floating village restaurant is inspired by traditional Thai floating markets and serves local dishes in a lively atmosphere. It is a popular lunch stop, and you can also find snacks, drinks and shops around the park. Outside food and drink are not included with your ticket.
Lockers, changing rooms and showers make it easy to spend the whole day. Wear sun protection, bring a towel, a change of clothes and flip-flops, and keep valuables in a locker or leave them at your hotel. Waterproof phone pouches are useful if you want to take photographs.
Choosing Your Andamanda Ticket and Transfer
The standard option is an entrance ticket only, which suits visitors who already have transport. Other options add a return transfer from hotels in areas such as Kata, Patong, Laguna, Bang Tao, Surin, Nai Harn, Kamala, Rawai, Chalong, Kathu, Phuket Town and Panwa, and combine a transfer with a reusable cold cup or tumbler and a free soft drink.
The cold cup and tumbler options belong to the park's Save Our Ocean scheme, which encourages visitors to reduce single-use plastic. If you are comparing options, choose the transfer if you do not want to arrange transport, and pick the cup or tumbler if you would like a reusable souvenir and a drink included.
