Komatsu Airport (KMQ) is near the Sea of Japan coast about 35 km south-west of central Kanazawa, around 40 to 50 minutes by car; Yamanaka Onsen is about 25 km to the south.
Kanazawa Station is on the north-west side of the city centre and is served by the Hokuriku Shinkansen from Tokyo in about 2.5 hours; Shirakawa-go is about 80 km away, around 1 hour 15 minutes by expressway.
Toyama Airport (TOY) is about 7 km south of central Toyama and about 60 km east of Kanazawa, around 50 minutes by the Hokuriku Expressway.
