Mount Fuji Airport Transfers

Private airport transfers in Mount Fuji: a driver at arrivals, a fixed price agreed on WhatsApp, sedan, minivan and Sprinter vehicles, flight tracking.

Private airport transfers in Mount Fuji, Japan, arranged by Haqqi Tours and our trusted local partners, each with a fixed price confirmed on WhatsApp before you pay. Mount Fuji, at 3,776 metres Japan's highest mountain, rises on the border of Yamanashi and Shizuoka, with the lakes of Kawaguchiko and Yamanakako at its northern foot and the hot spring valleys of Hakone to the south-east; there is no major airport nearby, so most travellers arrive via Tokyo Haneda (HND), about 120 km away, or Narita (NRT).

The airports serving Mount Fuji

Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND) is the close-in airport, only about 15 km south of the centre and 30-40 minutes from Shinjuku or Ginza, with three terminals.

Tokyo Narita Airport (NRT) is about 60 km east of central Tokyo - 60-90 minutes by road - with three terminals; Tokyo Disneyland is on the way in.

Mt Fuji Shizuoka Airport (FSZ) is a small regional airport near Makinohara in Shizuoka, south-west of Mount Fuji, with mainly domestic and some Asian flights; Hakone and Lake Kawaguchiko are each about 130 km by road, around 1 h 45 to 2 h by car.

Tokyo has two airports: Haneda (HND), about 15-20 km south of the centre and the closer of the two, and Narita (NRT), about 60-70 km east in Chiba prefecture.

Routes we run in Mount Fuji

Private transfer routes are listed for Mount Fuji, from Haneda Airport, Narita Airport, Mt Fuji Shizuoka Airport and Tokyo: destinations include Lake Kawaguchiko, Lake Kawaguchiko, Gotemba, Lake Kawaguchiko, Hakone, Lake Kawaguchiko and Lake Kawaguchiko. Each route has its own page with the distance, the drive time, the vehicles and the booking form; if your hotel is not named, book the nearest and tell the desk the exact address - the price is per vehicle and rarely changes for a nearby address.

Highway buses run from Shinjuku to Kawaguchiko in about two hours, the limited express from Shinjuku reaches Hakone-Yumoto in about an hour and a half, and the bullet train links Tokyo with Odawara in around 35 minutes. Local buses and the Hakone loop serve the sights, but connections with luggage are slow, so a private car is the easiest choice between the airports, the lakes and Hakone.

Vehicles

Sedan for one to three passengers, minivan or GMC for up to seven, Sprinter for eight to thirteen; Mercedes, Volkswagen, Ford Transit and Peugeot Traveller models, air-conditioned, with proper luggage space. Child seats on request at no extra charge. The desk recommends the size once it knows how many of you there are and how many bags.

How the transfer works

Every transfer is private - no sharing, no extra stops unless you ask - and priced for the vehicle, so a family of five pays one figure. Flights are tracked against the real arrival time; late-night and early-morning pickups run as normal; and the same desk arranges the return, a day trip or an intercity transfer later in the stay.

Every booking is confirmed by a real person on our WhatsApp desk, in Arabic or English, with the price written down before anything is paid.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers to what travellers ask us most, before they book.

How much does a transfer from the airport to Mount Fuji cost?

Prices are fixed per vehicle and shown on each route page and in its booking form; the figure you see is the figure you pay, confirmed on WhatsApp before you travel. A family or group pays for the vehicle, not per person.

Where do I meet the driver at the airport?

It varies by airport and terminal: a set meeting point inside arrivals, a specific exit, or the driver with a name board just after customs. Your WhatsApp confirmation gives the exact place, the driver's name and a phone number.

What if my flight is delayed?

Nothing to do - every transfer is flight-tracked, the pickup moves with the real landing time, and waiting time is included.

Is the transfer private or shared?

Private. The vehicle carries your party only, from the arrivals door to your address, with no other passengers.

Which vehicle should I choose?

Sedan for up to three with normal luggage, minivan or GMC for up to seven, Sprinter for up to thirteen. If unsure, tell the desk the number of passengers and bags and it recommends one before you pay.

Do you provide child seats?

Yes - say the ages when you book and the driver brings the right seats or boosters at no extra charge.

Is there a bus, train or metro from the airport to Mount Fuji?

Highway buses run from Shinjuku to Kawaguchiko in about two hours, the limited express from Shinjuku reaches Hakone-Yumoto in about an hour and a half, and the bullet train links Tokyo with Odawara in around 35 minutes. Local buses and the Hakone loop serve the sights, but connections with luggage are slow, so a private car is the easiest choice between the airports, the lakes and Hakone. For anyone with luggage, a family or a late flight, the private car is the simpler choice.

Can I book the return to the airport too?

Yes. Send the departure flight and the hotel; the driver collects you with a comfortable margin, and both directions sit on one confirmation.

Do you run transfers to other cities from Mount Fuji?

Yes - intercity transfers by private car or van are booked the same way; tell the desk the destination and it quotes a fixed price for the whole vehicle.

Which language does the driver speak?

It depends on the country, the city and the time of the transfer, so we do not promise a particular language. Tell us your preference and we do our best; the WhatsApp desk always works in Arabic and English.

How and when do I pay?

After the written confirmation, never before. The desk explains the payment options on WhatsApp once the price, the vehicle and the meeting point are confirmed.

Can I change or cancel?

Yes, in the same WhatsApp conversation. The terms depend on how close to the pickup the change comes, and the desk states them before any payment.
