Overview
Skytropolis is the indoor theme park at the summit of Genting Highlands, a bright, futuristic hall of rides that stays dry and comfortable whatever the mountain weather is doing outside. This one-day unlimited ride pass lets you enjoy every included ride across the Family, Adventure and Thrill zones, from the carousel and spinning teacups to the giant Spin Crazy pendulum and the Sky Towers drop ride, with re-entry allowed on the same day. One price applies to all ages, and the park is open from 11:00 every day. It is an entry ticket, not a tour, so you reach Genting yourself or ask us to arrange a private transfer or a day trip with the cable car. It suits families with children, teenagers and friends.

Full Description
Skytropolis indoor theme park
Skytropolis opened in 2018 inside the main indoor complex at the summit of Genting Highlands, around 1,800 metres above sea level. It fills a vast, colourful hall lit by LED displays, with a futuristic city theme and rides arranged in three zones: Family, Adventure and Thrill. Because it is entirely under one roof, it is a perfect choice when the mountain mist rolls in or an afternoon shower arrives.
Is Skytropolis worth visiting? It is ideal for families with mixed ages and for anyone who wants a few hours of rides without worrying about the weather. Most visitors spend two to four hours here, and it combines easily with the cable car, the summit malls or the outdoor theme park on the same day.
The rides inside
Thrill seekers head for Spin Crazy, a giant pendulum that swings riders through full 360-degree rotations, and the Sky Towers drop ride with its sudden plunge. In the Adventure zone, Soaring Ships and Chariot Cruise lift you above the hall for aerial views of the park, while classic favourites such as the Royal Carousel, Tea Cups and Balloon Race keep everyone smiling.
Little ones have their own rides, such as Jumping Spurs and Boo Boo Bump, sized for young children. Children under 80 cm cannot ride, and those under 122 cm must ride with a guardian aged 16 or over who also holds a valid ticket. Some rides may close temporarily for maintenance, and the virtual reality, snow play and video game zones are charged separately.
Planning your visit
Skytropolis opening hours are 11:00 to 21:00 from Sunday to Friday and 11:00 to 22:00 on Saturdays. Collect your pass by showing your booking confirmation, printed or on your phone, at the ticketing counter or self-service kiosk on Level 1. Re-entry on the same day is allowed when you show your ticket, wristband or stamp, so you can break for lunch and come back.
Ticket prices are the same for all ages. Pushchair and wheelchair rental is available for a fee. The busiest times are weekends, public holidays and school holidays, and the quietest are weekday mornings right after opening. Halal restaurants and food courts surround the park, and prayer rooms are found in the summit complex.
Getting to the summit of Genting Highlands
How to get to Genting Highlands? From Kuala Lumpur the drive takes about an hour to Gohtong Jaya, where the Awana SkyWay cable car carries you over the rainforest to the summit in around ten minutes. The cable car station connects directly to the indoor complex, and Skytropolis is a short walk away, signposted inside.
Transport is not included with this ticket, but Haqqi Tours can arrange a private transfer from your hotel or a Genting Highlands day trip from Kuala Lumpur with the cable car. The summit is cool, often 15 to 25°C, so bring a light jacket for walking between buildings. Taxis and ride-hailing cars also reach the summit by road if you prefer.
