Full Description

The jungle canopy zip line circuit

The centrepiece of the day is a long circuit of zip lines strung between platforms high in the tropical forest, where the Sierra Madre foothills meet the coast. Each line is a little different: some are short and playful, others stretch over deep valleys and rivers, giving you a bird's-eye view of treetops, parrots and the water below.

Your guide fits the harness and helmet, explains the braking signals and goes through each platform with you, so you do not need previous experience to enjoy a canopy tour in Puerto Vallarta. The zip line safety equipment is included. A reasonable level of fitness helps, and the whole circuit takes a couple of hours with breaks between lines.

The speedboat across Banderas Bay

Depending on the option you choose, you reach the adventure park by speedboat. The ride across Banderas Bay is part of the fun: you skim over the water with the mountains ahead, and on some days you may spot dolphins, turtles or, from December to March, humpback whales. Departures leave from the Marina Puerto Vallarta area or from Nuevo Vallarta, depending on the option.

The speedboat is faster than the road and gives a very different view of the coast. Wear light clothes, sunglasses secured with a strap and a waterproof pouch for your phone, because some spray is likely and sea conditions can change the timing.

The jungle truck ride

The alternative is an open jungle truck, which carries the group inland along dirt roads shaded by trees. It is a bumpy, noisy and very enjoyable way to arrive, passing small villages, farmland and forest. Options leave from Puerto Vallarta, the South Zona Romántica or Nuevo Vallarta.

If you get seasick or prefer to stay dry, the jungle truck is the easier choice; if you want the fastest, most scenic approach, choose the speedboat. Both options include the same activities at the park, and the booking panel shows the departure time for each.

River fun, water slides and kayaks

After the zip lines you can cool off at the river. Water slides drop into pools, kayaks can be paddled on calm stretches, and the riverbank has shady places to rest. Activities depend on the weather and the water level, so some may be closed after heavy rain. Lockers are available for your phone and belongings.

Is this adventure worth it? Yes, if you want a half-day of movement, scenery and splashing rather than a quiet beach. Children can join many of the water activities, but please keep them within sight and follow the instructions from the park staff.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers to what travellers ask us most, before they book.

How much does the zip line and speedboat adventure cost?

The price depends on the option and the number of adults and children. The booking panel on this page shows the current price for each option, adult and child.

Is hotel pickup included?

No. Round-trip transport between the departure point and the park is included, but you need to reach the departure point yourself. The meeting point depends on the option you choose.

How long is the canopy tour?

About five hours in total, including the transfer, the zip line circuit, river activities and the return.

What is the difference between the speedboat and jungle truck options?

Both include the same activities. The speedboat crosses Banderas Bay and leaves from the marina area or Nuevo Vallarta; the jungle truck travels by road from Puerto Vallarta, the South Zona Romántica or Nuevo Vallarta.

Is the adventure suitable for children?

Yes, children can take part, with a child price shown in the booking panel. Young children must meet the park's height and weight rules for the zip lines and must be supervised.

What should I wear and bring?

Swimwear, quick-dry clothes, closed shoes that can get wet, a towel, sunscreen, a hat and water. A waterproof bag for your phone is useful.

Can I book for today or tomorrow?

Often yes, depending on availability. Choose your date and option in the booking panel to see the departures that are open.

Do I need experience to zip line?

No. The guide explains everything and clips you in at every platform, so beginners are welcome.

Is the speedboat ride safe and comfortable?

The crossing is short and uses safety equipment, but the water can be choppy, so wear secure shoes and hold on when told. If you prefer a gentler ride, choose the jungle truck.

What if the weather is bad?

Some water activities may be closed after heavy rain or rough seas. The team will explain any change on the day, and we will contact you if a departure is affected.
