Jorge Chavez International Airport (LIM) is Peru's main gateway, in Callao about 11 km from Lima's historic centre, 15 km from Miraflores and 260 km from Paracas.
The Metropolitano bus and metro lines serve some corridors but do not reach the airport directly, and taxis outside the terminal are unmetered; a pre-booked private car is the simplest way to reach Miraflores, San Isidro or a hotel with luggage, and it is the only comfortable choice for Paracas, Huacachina or Caral.
