King Shaka International Airport (DUR) is at La Mercy about 35 km north of central Durban, 35 to 45 minutes by car on the N2; Umhlanga and Ballito are about 20 minutes away, and St Lucia is about 230 km north, around 2 hours 45 minutes by road.
