Full Description

Paguera and the southwest coast of Mallorca

Paguera, also written Peguera, is a lively resort in the municipality of Calvià, set around sheltered bays with calm water and pine-covered hills behind. Its beaches are among the best in the southwest, which is why many visitors look for a Paguera boat trip as an easy activity close to their hotel.

From the port the cruise heads along a coast of small coves, rocky headlands and clear turquoise water. The area around Cala Fornells and the coast towards Camp de Mar is very scenic from the sea, and the shoreline looks very different from the water than from the beach.

Dolphin watching cruise from Paguera

Our dolphin watching cruise from Paguera heads into open water where bottlenose dolphins and Risso's dolphins are sometimes seen, often travelling and playing near the boat. Dolphins are wild, so we cannot promise a sighting, but the crew knows the area and looks out for them throughout the cruise.

The skipper keeps a respectful distance so the animals are not disturbed. Bring a camera with a zoom, sunglasses and sunscreen, and keep everyone seated when the boat is moving. If you want a good chance of calm seas, the morning departure is often the quietest.

The glass-bottom boat

The glass panels in the hull let you look straight down at the seabed, the meadows of Posidonia seagrass and the fish that live around the rocks. It is a great activity for children who are not ready to snorkel, and it lets everyone see marine life without getting wet.

A glass-bottom boat trip in Mallorca is at its best on a calm, sunny day when visibility is high. The cruise lasts about two hours on the water, and the total activity time is roughly two and a half hours from departure.

Choosing your departure time

We offer a midday departure at 11:30, a morning departure at 08:30 and an afternoon departure at 14:30. The best time for dolphin watching in Mallorca is usually the morning, when the sea is calm and the light is soft, but the midday and afternoon cruises are warmer and popular with families.

The meeting point is in Paguera, and your confirmation shows exactly where to go. Arrive about 15 minutes early, and remember that the trip can be delayed or cancelled in poor weather. Snacks and drinks are not included, so bring water.
