Full Description
Gastronomy and its live cooking stations
Gastronomy is designed as a culinary market rather than a classic buffet, with open kitchens and live stations arranged around a bright, spacious dining room. Chefs grill, carve, roll and plate in front of you, so dishes arrive fresh and hot. You can move from Middle Eastern mezze and grills to Asian dumplings and noodles, Indian curries, Italian pasta, fresh seafood and international roasts.
The dessert section is a highlight in itself, with pastries, cakes, chocolate creations and ice cream. Vegetarian and vegan choices are offered across the stations, and the chefs can advise on ingredients if you have allergies. With about 2 hours at the table, you have time to taste many cuisines at a relaxed pace.
Atlantis The Royal on Palm Jumeirah
Atlantis The Royal opened in 2023 next to the original Atlantis resort on the crescent of Palm Jumeirah. Its architecture is unmistakable: a tower of stacked, staggered blocks linked by a bridge high above the ground, with sky pools, terraces and gardens. Inside, the resort is known for its dramatic lobby, water features and art installations.
Dining at Gastronomy is an easy way to experience the resort without staying overnight. From the terrace, you look out over the sea towards the Dubai Marina skyline, which glows after sunset. Is Atlantis The Royal worth visiting for dinner? For a special occasion or a celebration with family, the setting and the variety of food make it one of the most memorable buffet experiences in Dubai.
Planning your visit
Dinner is served from 6 pm to 10:15 pm, with seating times from 6 pm; book an early seating if you would like to watch the sunset from the terrace. The dress code is casual, all ages are welcome and the restaurant is wheelchair accessible. A child rate applies for younger guests; please tell us their ages when booking. Additional drinks beyond the premium water are paid separately.
How to get to Atlantis The Royal? A taxi from Downtown Dubai or Dubai Marina takes about 20 to 30 minutes, and valet parking is included if you drive. Transport is not included. Show your booking at the restaurant entrance on arrival; we send all the details on WhatsApp after confirmation.
Making an evening of it on the Palm
Palm Jumeirah, the palm-shaped island built off the coast of Dubai, is a lovely place to spend the hours before dinner. Walk along the boardwalk on the crescent at sunset, ride the monorail along the trunk of the Palm, or visit the observation deck in the centre of the island for a view of the fronds from above.
The best time to visit Dubai for an evening on the terrace is from October to April, when nights are mild and pleasant outdoors. In summer, the air-conditioned indoor dining room is the more comfortable choice. If you prefer a lighter meal, the breakfast and late-breakfast buffets offer waffles, eggs, dumplings and freshly baked pastries.
