Full Description

The Ba Na Hills Cable Car

Ba Na Hills stands in the Truong Son range about 40 km west of Da Nang, and the cable car is the way up for every visitor. The network has several lines; the longest runs almost 5.8 km and climbs well over a kilometre in height, gliding over dense jungle, streams and waterfalls. The ride takes around 15 to 20 minutes, and on clear days you see the coastal plain and the sea behind you as the cabin rises into cooler air.

How to get to Ba Na Hills from Da Nang: the base station is about 40 minutes by road from the city centre and roughly 1 hour 15 minutes from Hoi An. Your ticket covers one return journey on the cable car within its validity period, but not the road transfer. We can arrange a private car to and from your hotel, so you can choose your own arrival time and avoid waiting for buses.

Golden Bridge, Le Jardin d'Amour and Heaven Garden

The Golden Bridge, opened in 2018, is the reason many people come to Ba Na Hills. Its gold-coloured walkway, about 150 m long, curves along the mountainside at roughly 1,400 m and rests on two huge stone hands that look weathered by centuries, although they are modern sculptures. Go there first thing after the cable car, before mid-morning tour groups arrive, and you will enjoy far better photos and a calmer walk.

Below the bridge, Le Jardin d'Amour is a chain of themed flower gardens, each laid out in a different style, with fountains, statues and shaded terraces. Heaven Garden adds quieter flower beds and viewpoints higher up. Nearby, Linh Ung Pagoda and its tall white Buddha statue are a peaceful stop where modest clothing is appreciated. Allow around two hours for the bridge, gardens and pagoda together.

French Village, Moon Castle and the Funicular

The French Village is a recreated 19th-century European town with cobbled squares, a Gothic-style church, a clock tower and pastel facades. Street shows and parades often take place around the main square during the day, and the restaurants here are where you can redeem your snack voucher, subject to availability, or enjoy the buffet lunch if you chose that option.

Moon Castle is a fairy-tale castle with themed halls and interactive displays, popular with families and photographers, and it is included in your admission. The funicular, a short rail line through the forest, saves a steep climb between levels of the park and is fun in itself. Plan around two hours for the village area, and remember that re-entry is not allowed once you leave the venue, so finish everything before riding down.

Fantasy Park and Planning Your Day

Fantasy Park is a large indoor amusement hall, so it is a good plan for a rainy or foggy hour. Most of its rides and games are included in your ticket, from gentle carousels to drop towers and simulators. A few attractions cost extra on site: the Light Museum, the Wax Museum, the alpine coaster, bouldering, the 10D cinema and prize games. Queues can be long at busy times, so check waiting boards before joining a line.

Ba Na Hills opening hours run from about 08:30 to 22:00, and the best time to visit Ba Na Hills is early in the day, especially from February to August when skies are clearer. From September to January rain and fog are frequent. Is Ba Na Hills worth visiting? If you enjoy views, gardens and a lively theme-park day in cool mountain air, absolutely; plan at least six hours.

Is it suitable for children or people with reduced mobility?

Children love the cable car, the castle and Fantasy Park. The site is not accessible for wheelchairs or pushchairs and has many slopes and steps, so it is difficult for people with reduced mobility.
