Overview
This private Boracay land tour shows you the island beyond your stretch of White Beach in about 3 hours, with hotel pickup and drop-off, a private air-conditioned vehicle and your own English-speaking guide. We drive you to the places most visitors never find on their own: the wild sand of Puka Shell Beach in the north, the Mount Luho viewpoint at the island's highest point, the kitesurfing shore of Bulabog, the quiet coves of Ilig-Iligan and Diniwid, and the best photo corners of White Beach. Because the tour is only for your group, you choose how long to stay at each stop, and your guide helps with photos and local stories. Ideal for families, couples and friends on a first visit.

Full Description
Puka Shell Beach
Puka Shell Beach sits on Boracay's northern tip and is the island's wilder alternative to White Beach. Its name comes from the small round puka shells, naturally drilled with a hole in the middle, that once covered the sand and are still sold as necklaces nearby. The sand here is coarser and slightly golden, the water deepens quickly, and a line of trees gives some shade behind the beach.
On a private Boracay tour, Puka is usually the first long stop, because it is a 20 to 30 minute drive from the main beach area and few visitors get there on their own. Waves can be strong in some months, so swimming is best only when the sea is calm; most guests simply walk the shoreline, take photos and enjoy the quiet. Your guide will tell you when it is safe to paddle.
Mount Luho Viewpoint
Mount Luho is the highest point on Boracay, rising roughly 100 m above the sea in the island's north-east. A short climb of steps leads to a viewing deck from which you see almost the whole island at once: White Beach on one side, Bulabog and the reefs on the other, and on clear days the mountains of Panay across the strait. A small local entrance fee is collected at the gate and paid on site.
Is Mount Luho worth visiting? For first-time visitors, yes: it is the easiest way to understand Boracay's shape and to get the panoramic photo that the beaches alone cannot give you. Plan around 20 to 30 minutes here. Morning visits are cooler and usually clearer; your guide can adjust the order of stops to catch the best light.
Bulabog Beach and the East Coast
Across the narrow island from White Beach, Bulabog Beach faces east into the open sea. From about November to April, when the northeast monsoon blows, it becomes one of the best-known kitesurfing and windsurfing spots in Asia, and the sky fills with colourful kites. In the calmer southwest-monsoon months, roughly June to October, the water here is flat and many boats leave from this side.
A stop at Bulabog shows you a completely different Boracay: local life, sports schools, shallow reef flats and fewer sunbathers. It is a good place to stretch your legs and watch the riders, and a short drive away the road continues north past fishing communities and small chapels. On our land tour this is usually a 15 to 20 minute stop, longer if you enjoy watching the kites.
Ilig-Iligan and Diniwid: Boracay's Hidden Coves
On the north-east coast, Ilig-Iligan Beach is a small, peaceful cove with rocky outcrops, shallow caves and calm water in the right season. It feels a world away from the busy centre. On the west side, just beyond the northern end of White Beach, little Diniwid Beach is tucked into a cliff-lined bay reached by a coastal path cut into the rock.
These quieter corners are the reason many guests choose a private Boracay land tour: without a vehicle and a guide who knows the access roads, they are hard to find. Your guide can suggest which cove suits the day's wind and tide, and you can take your time for photos or a short swim. Bring sandals with a good grip for the rocky paths.
White Beach Photo Stops and Planning Your Visit
The tour ends back near White Beach, about 4 km of fine white sand on the west coast divided into Station 1, 2 and 3. Your guide points out the dark volcanic rock formations off Station 1 and the best angles for photos, then drops you at your hotel. In the evening, the same shore is where the traditional paraw sailboats head out at sunset.
The best time to visit Boracay is the dry season, roughly December to May, when the sea is calm and the skies are clear; from June to November rain and typhoons are possible, though a land tour is less affected than a boat trip. How to get to Boracay: fly to Caticlan airport, take the short boat ride to Cagban port, or fly into Kalibo, about 1 h 30 to 2 h away. We can arrange private transfers.
