Full Description

Hoa Phu Thanh Adventure Park

Hoa Phu Thanh Adventure Park sits in Hoa Phu commune, Hoa Vang district, about 30 km west of central Da Nang where the coastal plain meets forested mountains. A clear, boulder-strewn stream tumbles out of the hills here, and the park has been built along its banks with rafting launches, a zipline, pools, picnic huts and restaurants. On hot days the shaded river valley feels several degrees cooler than the city.

For many visitors it is the best answer to the question of what to do near Hoi An beyond the Old Town and the beach. The atmosphere is relaxed and outdoorsy, with local families on weekends and international travellers on weekdays. With this ticket you can arrive in the morning, raft at your chosen slot and spend the rest of the day swimming, trying the zipline and simply enjoying the river.

White-water rafting on the mountain stream

The rafting run is the reason most people come. After a safety briefing, helmets and life jackets, an on-site shuttle takes you upstream to the start. You paddle two to a raft, guided by park instructors stationed along the route, through 2.5 km of rapids, rocky chutes, drops over small waterfalls and calmer pools where you can catch your breath and admire the forest.

The route is exciting yet designed for first-timers, so no previous experience is needed, only a basic level of fitness and a willingness to get completely wet. Rafting at Hoa Phu Thanh is open to guests aged 15 to 64 who weigh at least 40 kg and are at least 140 cm tall. Solo travellers may be paired with another guest in the raft. Starts are at 09:30 or 13:00; please arrive in good time.

Zipline, pools and other activities

The park's zipline launches from a hillside and flies across the river at speed, giving a bird's-eye view of the water and the trees below; it is open to guests weighing up to 90 kg and may close in bad weather. Back on the ground, the swimming pool and water slides are popular in the afternoon heat, while the shallow parts of the stream are perfect for natural bathing among the rocks.

For calmer moments there is archery with an instructor, and a fish spa where tiny fish nibble at your feet, a strange but surprisingly relaxing sensation. Picnic huts and riverside seating let you rest between activities. Meals and drinks are not included in the ticket and are paid at the park's restaurants; bring some cash for snacks, lockers or extras.

How to get to Hoa Phu Thanh and when to go

Hoa Phu Thanh is about 45 minutes by road from central Da Nang and roughly an hour and a quarter from Hoi An. There is no direct public transport for visitors, so most guests come by taxi or private car; hotel transfers are not part of this ticket, but we can arrange a private transfer for you. On arrival, go to the ticket desk and show your booking code to receive your tickets.

The park is usually open from about 08:00 to the late afternoon. The best time to visit Hoa Phu Thanh is from about April to August, when the weather is warm and dry and the water is pleasant. During the heavy rains of central Vietnam, mostly October to December, rafting or the zipline can be suspended when water levels are too high, and we will contact you if that happens.
